Giving Days at the ESAREC
WHAT IS GIVING DAYS?: Giving Days is a yearly fundraiser program benefiting programs at Virginia Tech.
WHEN IS IT?: February 15th and 16th noon to noon

HOW MUCH TO DONATE?: $5 and above
WHAT DO THE FUNDS BENEFIT?:
Pizza/lunch, refreshments for public school student tours
Demonstration items for Ag in the classroom in schools (clay, books, pumpkins, other supplies)
Recruitment of faculty, staff, and students to the Eastern Shore AREC (travel, meetings with stakeholders)
Fields days, farmer outreach events (water, refreshments, snacks, food, etc.)
Cost-share for equipment updates (UAVs, lab upgrades, equipment repair)
LEADERBOARD: In 2022, we won top of the AREC leaderboard with the most donations! Leaderboard winners earn an additional bonus from the university. We received an additional $1,500 as 1st place winner!
