The 2026 Virginia Small Grain Field Day will be May 21 at Eastern Virginia AREC in Warsaw, VA. It will begin at 9:30 am and will conclude with a BBQ lunch at noon. The focus of this year's field day will be a Q&A panel discussing Ag policy in Richmond & Washington, farm profitability, and global markets. Panelists will include Ben Rowe, Virginia Deputy Secretary of Agriculture & Forestry; Anthony Pena, National Association of Wheat Growers Policy Manager; Robert Harper, Grain Division Manager, Virginia Farm Bureau Federation; and Taylor Hubbard, Director of Government Affairs, Virginia Grain Producers Association. There will also be field tours highlighting Small Grain Research at Virginia Tech, and wheat appraisal for crop insurance.
