Lindsey is currently a Master’s of Science Candidate pursing a degree in Crop and Soil Environmental Science. Her current research project focuses on variable rate seeding strategies in soybean and the use of remote sensing technology. This includes developing and testing site-specific soybean seeding rate recommendations, while investigating environmental influences on the interaction of soybean planting date and relative maturity.
She has been able to travel to various conferences in the state of Virginia, while also strengthening relationships with growers through Extension efforts of on-farm trials. Overall, she hopes to continue my efforts within the program to assist growers in successful cropping years through recommendations.
