The Virginia Seafood Agricultural Research and Extension Center supports the Virginia Governor’s School for Science and Technology (GSST) with STEM based programming and research opportunities.

The Governor’s School for Science and Technology has a 22 year history of supporting gifted students and preparing them for higher education and careers in science and mathematics. The program offers small group-instruction, hands on experience, research activities, field studies, academic college courses, and more. Additional information on the program can be found at:

The Virginia Seafood AREC has been hosting Governor’s Student students since 2003, providing mentorship and facilities to design and conduct their required senior projects.
